UNKNOWN (Hangul: 언노운; RR: Eon-no-un) is a seven-member Philippine girl group formed by YV Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of Jungyeol, Nabi, Inhyun, Pilsook, Cindy, Boo and Aeri. They made their debut with the song 'MATH' from the 'TRU:TH' album on April 25, 2016. UNKNOWN's sub-unit: GOLD, performed for many events during the month of July.
HISTORY
2016: The Training 'Light'
On January 13, 2016, the group members first met one another. It was discussed that the group will be releasing a cover of The Ark's Light and one original song. For a couple of months, the practices went good and smooth but after days passed by, former member of UNKNOWN, Reigne Agsalog went missing in action. The absence of the former member made the girls worry for their preparations for the MV. Much details regarding this issue won't be included but the company made the decision to terminate the contract with her and is banned from the company for private reasons.

The girls continued their practice for Light even with six members. After some time, the company introduced their seventh member, Princess Yvette Rojas a.k.a Aeri. It was a struggle for the girls at first during the practice since they were starting from the scratch over again with the new member.

2016: 'TRU:TH Album' and debut
UNKNOWN released their eight-track debut album 'TRU:TH' (The Real Us, Together With Happiness) The promotional track "MATH" (Hangul: 마트), composed by members Jungyeol and Nabi and produced by Freshy Boyz, garnered 100 views in YouTube in one day.
